Business Expansion 

COMCO Mundo, the parent company and umbrella group of COMCO’s companies, programs and brands, continues to soar higher with its unique brand of storytelling as it further expands this 2024 with the recent introduction of its newest offerings.

On its 8th year, COMCO Southeast Asia, widens its services through the New PR and Smart Social and Experience+ divisions. The New PR and Smart Social arm provides services for Marketing and Corporate Public Relations, Internal Communications and Employee Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Cause-Related Marketing (CRM), Advocacy and Development Communications, Influencer / KOL Management and Grassroots Communications, Sustainability and Environment Communications, Crisis and Issues Communications, Media, Government and Community Relations while the Experience+ encompasses different Marketing services such as Events, Activation and Production, Advertising and Special Media Execution, Media Production, Branding, and Brand Communications.

After marking its entry into the market last year, TARO AOX Inc., COMCO Mundo’s specialist agency in Digital and Integrated Communications, reintroduces its units – Digital MAX, ICOM, and Story Lab. TARO AOX Inc.’s Digital Max includes services for Digital and Social Strategy, Social Media Management, Virtual or Online Events, Content Marketing and SEO, Social Media Audit, Social Listening and Digital Analytics, Digital Advertising, Website and Applications; and Emerging Innovations, Platforms and Technologies. ICOM offers Integrated Communications, Digital PR, Influencer Marketing, and Digital Activation. Meanwhile, Story Lab works on Communications Audit / Research / Planning, Editorial and Publication Services, Media Monitoring and Measurement; and Special PR and Communications Projects.

Bringing meaningful storytelling beyond Southeast Asia, COMCO Middle East & Africa has solidified its presence in the region’s PR industry offering services in Public Relations, Tourism and Hospitality PR, Lifestyle and Luxury PR, International Communications, Social Media Management, Influencer and Celebrity Marketing, Marketing Services, and Events and Activation.

The COMCO School of Communication (COMSCO) is comprised of CODEVA or Communications Development and Advancement covering training programs for Media, Crisis Communications, Social Media, Content Marketing, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Internal Communications; and PRODEVA or Professional and Organizational Development and Advancement offering training programs for Management Development, Leadership and Team Building, among others. Under COMSCO is also the internal training programs of the group such as the Camp COMCO Mentorship Program, the award-winning communications apprenticeship program in the industry designed to hone promising students, fresh graduates and young talents from the fields of communications, marketing, multimedia arts and related disciplines to become effective communication practitioners and meaningful storytellers and ACADEX of the Academy of Excellence (ACADEX) – the group’s employee development program.

Launched in 2019, the SEA Wave Pop Culture Magazine evolved from being a digital magazine producing Southeast Asian and pop-cultural stories to becoming a fully-fledged content unit, SEA Wave & Spice Multimedia Content Studio, that offers online publication and content for digital and emerging platforms, brand services for multimedia arts and social media, and talent management.  


Reinforcing Leadership

A seasoned PR practitioner, COMCO SEA’s newest Managing Director Joyce Yu has close to two decades of solid experience in Public Relations, Advertising, Events and Activation, and Branding and Brand Communications. Part of her new role is to reinforce the group’s flagship brand New PR and Smart Social and grow COMCO’s Experience+ division, the Agency’s service dedicated to Events, Advertising, Branding, and Special Media Executions.

One of COMCO’s senior partners, pioneers, and communications experts, Rachel Syfargo will now lead as Managing Director for TARO AOX Inc., the group’s specialist agency that offers Digital Max for Digital, Social and Emerging Platforms, Technologies and Innovations; ICOM for Integrated Communications and Digital PR; and Story Lab for Communications Audit, Research and Planning as well as Editorial and Publication Services. Rachel’s leadership in the practice encompasses more than two decades of experience in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Branding, and Communications Research. 

Bringing meaningful storytelling beyond Southeast Asia, COMCO’s senior partner and co-founder Tricia Jimenea continues as COMCO Middle East & Africa’s Managing Director opening more opportunities for COMCO in the region. Tricia is an award-winning PR professional with almost two decades of extensive experience in Media and Influencer Relations, Celebrity Marketing, Strategy Development, Stakeholder Engagement, Events Management, and Content Development.

As part of COMCO Mundo’s mission to Ignite Talent, numerous high-performing employees from the group’s various companies and units are also promoted.

A homegrown talent from the Camp COMCO Mentorship Program Cycle 5, Jam Bufi has demonstrated her leadership potential over the years and is now the Integrated Communications Manager of TARO AOX Inc. One of the first employees of COMCO Middle East & Africa, Rabia Yousuf has now been promoted to Account Manager. 

Showing their potential and commitment to the company and their craft, Narah Faigal and Hiacynth Ablanez of SEA Wave & Spice Multimedia Content Studio are both appointed to Senior Officers while Jaderick Buhay from TARO AOX Inc. is now promoted to Officer. With their excellent performance and unwavering dedication, COMCO Southeast Asia’s Hendrich Namoca and COMCO Mundo’s Ronette Tibay as well as TARO AOX Inc’s Joana de Guzman and Chloe Manalac are all promoted to Senior Associates. SEA Wave & Spice’s Multimedia Arts Associate Nicole Bamba is now the company’s newest regularized employee.

Embarking on this milestone for Mission 2024, COMCO Mundo is excited to announce the line-up of its flagship projects and activities that will be celebrated with COMCOys COMCOmigos and COMCOwans.

This exciting lineup includes the COMCO Badminton Club, Camp COMCO Alumni Society Homecoming Cup, SEA Wavens Assembly, Camp COMCO Kids, COMCO Mundo Away Days at SEA, and Movie Night with COMCOmigos this 2024.

COMCO Mundo and its companies reach new heights receiving recognitions from global award winning organizations including the Platinum Award for Strategic Communications at the MarCom Awards, PR Agency of the Year Finalist citation in the Philippines at the Campaign Asia-Pacific Awards 2023, and numerous category nominations at the International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO) Global Awards, Marketing-Interactive PR Awards 2024, and  Public Relations and Communications Association Asia-Pacific (PRCA-APAC) Awards 2024.

Meanwhile, COMCO Southeast Asia expands its reach through the services of New PR and Smart Social, and Experience+. This 2024, COMCO SEA has been selected as the PR and communications agency of direct selling company Personal Collection, home solutions provider Concepcion Midea Incorporated Philippines, and leading foam manufacturer Uratex Philippines for Uratex Monoblock. COMCO Southeast Asia is also the communications agency of the fast-rising financial institution CIMB Bank Philippines.

COMCO Middle East & Africa amplifies meaningful storytelling in the region with new clients including property and lifestyle developer LEOs International, hospitality provider Paramount Hotel Dubai, leading furniture manufacturer Suncoast Outdoor Furniture, and boutique café Café Kitsuné.

As the agency reaches its eighth year, COMCO also recently welcomed the eight newest creative rebels who were chosen to be a part of the award-winning, industry-acclaimed Camp COMCO Mentorship Program on its Cycle 21.
