Kicking off the Mission 2024, powerhouse and global award-winning communications group COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises announces major staff promotions in its companies in Southeast Asia and Middle East & Africa.

New Managing Directors in SEA and MEA

With close to two decades of solid experience in the industry, Joyce Yu has been appointed as COMCO Southeast Asia’s newest Managing Director. Joyce is an expert in Public Relations, Advertising, Events and Activation, and Branding and Brand Communications. Since joining COMCO, she led a series of successful campaigns for COMCO SEA brands including the European Higher Education Fair 2022 and 2023, PHILUSA Corporation, World Vision, Lalamove, Teleperformance, Skechers, and JobStreet, among others. As COMCO SEA’s Managing Director, Joyce will lead the company’s two divisions – New PR and Smart Social and Experience+.

Marking its first year in the market, TARO AOX Inc., COMCO’s specialist agency for Digital Communications, will be spearheaded by its newest Managing Director and one of COMCO’s senior partners, pioneers, and communications experts, Rachel Syfargo. With over 20 years of expertise in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Branding, and Communications Research, Rachel will lead TARO AOX Inc. for Digital Max for Digital, Social, and Emerging Platforms, Technologies and Innovations; ICOM for Integrated Communications and Digital PR; and Story Lab for Communications Audit, Research and Planning as well as Editorial and Publication Services. Among the brands that she has handled in COMCO are Electrolux, Good Year, Ayala Malls, Samsung Philippines, Sun Life Global Solutions and Lamoiyan Corporation,

An award-winning PR professional, Tricia Jimenea, COMCO’s senior partner and co-founder,  continues to be COMCO Middle East & Africa’s Managing Director. Opening more opportunities in the region, Tricia has extensive experience in Media and Influencer Relations, Celebrity Marketing, Strategy Development, Stakeholder Engagement, Events Management, and Content Development. Some of COMCO MEA’s key clients include Empire Entertainment, Middle East Film & Comic Con, Central Part, Yas Plaza Hotels, Holiday Inn, RLC Residences, and many more.

Homegrown Talents Promotions

Demonstrating commitment to excellence, COMCO Mundo continues to ignite talent with the announcement of the newly promoted homegrown talents from the group’s various companies and units.

With her leadership potential honed over the years, Jam Bufi is now TARO AOX Inc.’s Integrated Communications Manager. From being an apprentice during the Camp COMCO Mentorship Program Cycle 5 under House Whaleshark, Jam has been specializing in technology, healthcare, and business PR and has worked for accounts Teleperformance, AXA Philippines, The Medical City, SM Cinema, and Unilab Foundation. Currently, she is co-leading the PR and communications of Samsung Philippines, Sun Life Global Solutions, and Lamoiyan Corporation.

Rabia Yousuf, one of COMCO Middle East & Africa’s pioneer employees, has now been promoted to Account Manager. Among the brands that she has worked with are R&B Kids, Yas Plaza Hotels, and Empire Entertainment.

Through dedication and passion for her craft, Narah Faigal has continued her streaks and is now COMCO Mundo’s newest Senior Multimedia Arts Officer. With her potential seen as early as her groundbreaking performance when she joined Camp COMCO Cycle 15 under House Whaleshark, Narah showed her superb skills in co-leading SEA Wave & Spice Multimedia Content Studio.

Camp COMCO Cycle 16’s alumna under House Hawksbill Hiacynth Ablanez received an accelerated promotion and moved from Senior Integrated Communications Associate to Senior Digital and Integrated Communications Officer. Over the years, Hiacynth became an integral part of COMCO’s partner brands such as MR.DIY, APL GO, Lamoiyan Corporation, and Sony Philippines.

Receiving another accelerated promotion is Jaderick Buhay who is now TARO AOX Inc.’s Communications Support Services Officer. Jade, a graduate of Camp COMCO Mentorship Program Cycle 19 under House Whaleshark, fundamentally contributed to some of COMCO’s key accounts including Samsung Philippines, Teleperformance, and AXA Philippines.

COMCO Mundo also announced the promotion of its newest senior associates from its different companies including Ronette Tibay of COMCO Mundo, Hendrich Namoca of COMCO SEA, and Joana De Guzman and Chloe Manalac of TARO AOX Inc.

Holding the position of Senior Executive Initiatives and Communications Associate, Ronette Tibay has shown dedication in her work, moving from Iloilo to Metro Manila as she joined the company. A graduate of Camp COMCO Cycle 19 from House Whaleshark, Ronette is part of the Accelerated Apprenticeship Assimilation (3As) Program. Earning her promotion ahead her first year in COMCO, she worked with COMCO Mundo for MARCOMAX and was part of ground-breaking projects for airasia Superapp and Lenovo as well Century Tuna.

Hendrich Namoca, now a Senior Brand Communications Associate, was also a part of 3As and is now working with COMCO Southeast Asia. Since joining COMCO in Camp COMCO Cycle 19 under House Hawksbill, Hen worked on several major campaigns including Sony Philippines, Teleperformance, European Union Delegation, and AXA Philippines.

Also a part of the 3As program and Camp COMCO Cycle 19 under House Hawksbill, Joana de Guzman has been promoted to Senior Communication Support Services Associate for TARO AOX Inc. Joana consistently showed diligence and responsibility in her craft. She is part of TARO AOX Inc.’s campaigns for the Philippines’ Department of Health (DOH) and Samsung Philippines.

Showcasing excellence in her work, Chloe Manalac stepped up and is now TARO AOX Inc.’s newest Senior Integrated Communications Associate. Chloe joined the group as part of Camp COMCO Cycle 20 under House Hawksbill and was involved in Samsung Philippines, HLA, and Sun Life Global Solutions. Chloe was promoted ahead her first anniversary with TARO AOX Inc.

Aside from the promotions, COMCO also announced the regularization of its Multimedia Arts Associate Nicole Bamba.

Completing the recent line-up of COMCOys is Sharmaine Irish T. Padua who is currently TARO AOX Inc.’s Integrated Communications Associate and Shane Jhastin D. Picson who joined COMCO Mundo as SEA Wave’s Online Publication and Content Associate who will both join the Camp COMCO Cycle 21.
