Recently, Mr. Ferdinand L. Bondoy, COMCO Mundo’s Interregional President & Group Chief Executive and Head of Global & Strategic Communications / Partner & Co-Founder, was one of the key featured speakers in the webinar, “Communicating Climate Change – Are Messages Falling on Deaf Ears?” by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) International, which is headquartered in the United Kingdom and the world’s only Royal Chartered professional body for public relations practitioners that promotes excellence, ethics, and professional development in the field, with nearly 10,000 members across the globe.
During the discussion, Mr. Bondoy highlighted the importance of targeted messaging and actionable communication in addressing climate issues. “As communicators, we just need to be clear which sector we are targeting and push for the right calls-to-action to drive climate action—whether for the government to enact policy, for the private sector to integrate sustainability into their operations, for organizations to demand accountability, and for individuals to live more sustainably,” he said.

Beyond contributing insights on climate communication, COMCO Mundo also supported the PRCA APAC Conference 2026 in Singapore, organized by the Asia-Pacific arm the world’s largest professional PR body, representing 35,000 PR professionals in 82 countries worldwide, and is a global advocate for excellence in public relations. The conference, themed “The Creative Renaissance – Big Ideas in a Tech-Obsessed World,” explored major trends shaping the communications industry, particularly how human-centered thinking continues to transform the way brands and organizations communicate in an increasingly AI-driven environment. Mr. Bondoy joined fellow industry leaders in discussions highlighting how human creativity remains a key differentiator in a rapidly evolving technological. During the session, each panelist was invited to complete the prompt: “In a tech-obsessed world, creativity survives if…” Mr. Bondoy shared, “In a tech-obsessed world, creativity survives if, in parallel, we continue to enrich the human experience. After all, everything in technology comes from the human experience.”
Further strengthening its presence in the communications community, Mr. Bondoy continues to serve as a member of the CIPR International Committee and as a Board Member of the PRCA APAC Regional Board and its Sustainability Group. He also serves as the Corporate Secretary of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines and leads the organization’s Youth and Education Programs, including its key initiative, The Communications Olympiad, together with COMCO School of Communications, the professional development and continuing education arm of COMCO Mundo. Through COMCO Mundo’s active engagement with these organizations, the company continues to support initiatives that promote communications excellence, professional development, and ethical practice among Filipino and global communicators.

On the global IABC stage, Mr. Bondoy also represented the Philippines by being one of the members of the esteemed Blue Ribbon Panel (BRP) of the Gold Quill Awards. Presented by IABC International, the Gold Quill Awards is one of the most respected award programs in the communications industry. Often referred to as the “Oscars” of the communications field, the Gold Quill Awards have recognized excellence in strategic communication for more than four decades. Thousands of entries globally are evaluated by the Blue Ribbon Panel (BRP), a distinguished group of internationally recognized communicators, ensuring rigorous standards and global credibility.
