
CAMP COMCO, the award-winning and internationally renowned mentorship program of COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises and COMCO School of Communications, is welcoming new and highly driven apprentices from all over the country.
Camp COMCO is an intensive and comprehensive talent incubation initiative, industry linkage course, and apprenticeship program designed for fresh graduates and students of Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Multimedia Arts, and other related disciplines. Under the mentorship of COMCO Mundo’s pool of experts, they will gain hands-on experience, build a portfolio that stands out, and master the art of Meaningful Storytelling.
Joining Cycle 23 of Camp COMCO are thirteen passionate young talents who are eager to sharpen their craft and spearhead the new generation of creative rebels and meaningful storytellers. These new COMCOwans are divided into four mentorship houses—House Bearcat, House Hawksbill, House Flying Fox, and House Whaleshark—each named after a species endemic to the region.
Leading House Bearcat are COMCO Mundo’s Associate Officer for Executive Initiatives & Strategic CommunicationsIvan Emmanuel Dator (Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management) from the University of Santo Tomas, Senior Associate for Executive Initiatives and Strategic Communications Aira Patricia Mah (Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a specialization in Public Relations) from De La Salle University–Dasmarinas, and Rafael De Ramos (Bachelor of Arts in Communication).
Powering House Hawksbill are COMCO Mundo’s Associate for Digital, Content & Emerging Platforms Kim Kervyn Antonio (Bachelor of Arts in Communication) from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Hannah Ocanada (Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication) from University of the Philippines – Manila, and John Carlo Manalo (Bachelor of Arts in Communication) from Far Eastern University.
Representing House Flying Fox are COMCO Southeast Asia-Pilipinas’ Senior Officer for Communications and Marketing Services Aileen Cherish Paredes (Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication major in Broadcasting) from Lyceum of Philippines University – Manila, Officer for New PR & Smart Social / Communications Abigail Bustos (Bachelor of Arts in Communication) from Colegio de San Juan de Letran – Manila, STORY LAB’s Associate for Communications Support Services Shaida Ancheta (Bachelor of Arts in Communications with Specialization in Public Relations) from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, and Angela Nicole Castro (Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management) from Mary the Queen College (Pampanga) Inc.
Completing the lineup for House Whaleshark are STORY LAB’s Pierre Edrei Bay (Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Advertising) from the University of Santo Tomas, Elisha Ruth Bulaon (Bachelor of Arts in Communication) from Far Eastern University, and Karylle Grace Tuya (Juris Doctor) from San Beda University-Manila.
The COMCOwans will go through three stages of training under the direction of their designated houses. These include Skills Calibration, Strategic Communications Immersion, and Specialization Elective. Through a pitch competition called Camp COMCO Housewars– they will develop and deliver a communications plan to an actual brand or client.
The Camp COMCO Mentorship Program is developed to foster skill growth for apprentices or COMCOwans as they navigate their profession and reform the PR Industry through in-depth mentoring sessions and meaningful and hands-on experiences with COMCO’s different ventures—COMCO Southeast Asia, COMCO Middle East and Africa, TARO AOX Inc., SEA Wave & Spice Multimedia Content Studio, COMCOffee Club Shared Services and Enterprise Community, COMCO School of Communications, Camp COMCO Mentorship Program Alumni Society, and Citizen COMCO Advocacy Program.
