In its 22nd cycle, Camp COMCO—the award-winning mentorship program of COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises and COMCO School of Communications (COMSCO)—welcomes the largest wave of apprentices from all over the country.
Camp COMCO is an intensive and comprehensive talent incubation initiative, industry linkage course, and apprenticeship program designed to ignite the passion of students and fresh graduates of Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Multimedia Arts, and other related disciplines, under the mentorship and guidance of COMCO Mundo’s pool of experts through an intensive and comprehensive talent incubation initiative, industry linkage course, and apprenticeship program.
Twelve promising young talents or COMCOwans are joining Cycle 22 of Camp COMCO to hone their craft and to become new creative rebels and meaningful storytellers. These COMCOwans will be assigned to four different mentorship houses, named after different species endemic in the region—House Bearcat, House Hawksbill, House Flying Fox, and House Whaleshark.
COMCO Mundo’s Executive Initiatives & Strategic Communications Associate Selena Patricia Campaner (Bachelor of Science in Development Communication) from University of the Philippines – Los Baños, Digital, Content & Emerging Platforms Associate Ronalyn Clarete (Bachelor of Arts in Communication) from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, and KC Medenilla (Bachelor of Advertising and Public Relations) from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines are joining House Bearcat.
COMCO Mundo Executive Initiatives and Strategic Communications Associate Cedrick Dalvin Alolor (Bachelor of Science in Development Communication) from University of the Philippines – Los Baños, COMCO Mundo’s Digital, Content & Emerging Platforms Associate Elijah Geronimo (Bachelor of Arts in Communication) from the University of Santo Tomas, and Ashley Nicole Trinidad (Bachelor of Science in Psychology) from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines are set to represent House Hawksbill.
COMCO Southeast Asia’s Associate Communication and Marketing Services Supervisor Vince Maverick Rodriguez is the new apprentice under House Flyingfox. He will be joined by COMCO Mundo’s Digital and Multimedia Arts Associate Justine Keith Olay (Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design) from the University of Santo Tomas and Viancka Gwyneth Co (Bachelor of Advertising and Public Relations) from De La Salle University – Manila in House Flying Fox.
And last but certainly not least, TARO AOX Inc. Communications Support Services Associate Angelica Ico (Bachelor of Advertising and Public Relations) from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Integrated Communications Associate Ezra Denice Esteban from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, and COMCOffee Club’s very own Corporate Services Associate Patricia Ysabel Villesis (Bachelor of Science in Accountancy) from the National University (NU Baliwag) will be part of House Whaleshark.
Each house will serve as a guide for the COMCOwans as they undergo their three-phase training: Skills Calibration, Strategic Communications Immersion, and Specialization Elective. At the culmination of their apprenticeship, the COMCOwans will get the chance to showcase what they learned from Camp COMCO through the House Wars—a pitch competition where they will develop and present an actual communications plan to a real brand or client.
The Camp COMCO Mentorship Program is designed to help apprentices or COMCOwans become revolutionaries of the PR industry through comprehensive mentoring sessions and practical and relevant experiences with COMCO’s different ventures—COMCO Southeast Asia, COMCO Middle East and Africa, TARO AOX Inc., SEA Wave & Spice Multimedia Content Studio, COMCOffee Club Shared Services and Enterprise Community, COMCO School of Communications, Camp COMCO Mentorship Program Alumni Society, and Citizen COMCO Advocacy Program.
