Camp COMCO Cycle 24

Global award-winning communications group COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises has launched Cycle 24 of the Camp COMCO Mentorship Program. Organized by the COMCO School of Communications, the education and training arm of COMCO, Camp COMCO is an intensive talent incubation and apprenticeship initiative designed to shape fresh graduates and students in marketing, communications, and multimedia arts into industry-ready professionals. It has been recognized globally by award-giving bodies like the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) with a Global Gold Quill for Communication Training in Education.

This cycle marks a special edition of Camp COMCO, welcoming fresh graduates, practitioners in transition, and professionals seeking to upskill as they immerse themselves in the best practices and culture of COMCO. The 12 driven young talents, known as COMCOwans, are divided into four mentorship houses named after endemic species in the region: House Bearcat, House Hawksbill, House Flying Fox, and House Whaleshark.

Joining House Bearcat are Purple ALAB Supervisor for Events, Activation & Media Production Chelsie David from Bulacan State University, SEA Wave & Spice Associate Officer for Multimedia Arts & Visual Storytelling Mark Christian Destacamento from STI College Global City, and COMCO Mundo Associate for Executive Initiatives & Strategic Communications Maureen Alexandra Dungan from De La Salle University – Manila.

Representing House Flyingfox are COMCO Mundo Supervisor for Executive Initiatives & Strategic Communications Bianca Ysabel Capati, SUNDAICA Senior Officer for Governance & Compliance Clifford Hansen Galima from Arellano University – Manila, and COMCO Southeast Asia – Pilipinas Associate for New PR & Smart Social / Communications Renee Viviene Alapit.

Under the guidance of their respective House Stewards and various mentors, the apprentices will undergo three core training phases: Skills Calibration, Strategic Communications Immersion, and a Specialization Elective, all culminating with the “Camp COMCO Housewars”—a pitch competition where the teams will develop and present a strategic communications plan to a real-world client.

The Camp COMCO Mentorship Program aims to foster skill growth for apprentices or COMCOwans as they navigate their profession and reform the PR Industry through in-depth mentoring sessions and meaningful and hands-on experiences with COMCO’s different ventures—COMCO Southeast Asia – Pilipinas, COMCO Southeast Asia – Singapore, COMCO Middle East and Africa, TARO AOX Inc., SEA Wave & Spice with Purple ALAB, SUNDAICA Shared Services and Enterprise Community, COMCO School of Communications, Camp COMCO Mentorship Program Alumni Society, Citizen COMCO Advocacy Program, and SEA CAN Alliance by COMCO Mundo.
