Camp COMCO Cycle 23 Apprentices and their House Stewards with COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises Interregional President & Group Chief Executive and Head of Global & Strategic Communications / Partner & Co-Founder Mr. Ferdinand Bondoy

The globally recognized Camp COMCO Mentorship Program by COMCO Mundo recently celebrated the successful completion of Cycle 23 after a rigorous, comprehensive, and hands-on training period.

Organized by the COMCO School of Communications, the education and training arm of COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises, the Camp COMCO Mentorship Program is an intensive talent incubation and apprenticeship initiative designed to shape fresh graduates and students in marketing, communications, and multimedia arts into industry-ready professionals. It has been recognized globally by award-giving bodies like the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) with a Global Gold Quill for Communication Training in Education.

This year marks a momentous occasion as Camp COMCO extended invitations to participants and winners of The Communications Olympiad, organized by the COMCO School of Communications and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines, to continue their learning in the field of communications and the media industry through the apprenticeship program.

Throughout the program, apprentices braved through a three-phase curriculum: Skills Calibration, Strategic Communications Immersion, and Specialization Elective. Each stage was led by COMCO Mundo’s communication mentors, providing apprentices with hands-on knowledge, real-world experience, and exposure to COMCO Mundo’s signature brand of meaningful storytelling.

Camp COMCO Cycle 23 culminated with the House Wars 2025, where the four Houses of Camp COMCO—House Bearcat, House Flyingfox, House Hawksbill, and House Whaleshark—developed strategic communications plans and sample works, and presented their proposals to a panel of judges. The subject of this cycle’s House Wars competition was the all-new SEA Wave & Spice—a merger of the Digital Maximus, SEA Wave & Spice Storytelling Studio, ALAB Experience+, and Constellation Talent Hub business units of COMCO Mundo.

After an intense competition, House Flyingfox emerged victorious as the grand champion, followed by House Hawksbill as first runner-up, House Whaleshark as second runner-up, and House Bearcat as third runner-up.

Reflecting on this cycle’s hard work, apprentice Abigail Bustos (House Flyingfox) shared, “It’s really nerve-wracking yet exciting, just like any pitch presentation. My team and I were definitely pushed out of our comfort zones, but I couldn’t feel prouder to see our presentation. I felt like all of our learnings from the past sessions in Camp, and our efforts were worth it.”

Her team member, Angela Castro from House Flyingfox said, “COMCO Mundo Cycle 23 felt like a truly one-of-a-kind experience that exposed me to the realities of the corporate world. The lessons I gained from this journey are ones I can confidently apply now as a student and carry with me as I move forward after graduation.”

Meanwhile, fellow House Flyingfox apprentice Aileen Paredes said, “It provided a great avenue for us new hires to develop the skills needed for this career.”

During the closing ceremonies, COMCO Mundo Interregional President and Group Chief Executive / Director-in-Charge & Strategic Communications Partner and Co-Founder, Mr. Ferdinand L. Bondoy, shared an inspiring message to the COMCO Squadron.

“With new apprentices graduating, may you carry your learning and create change through the best practices you learned, mixed with your unique ways in the communications and media industry. This is a memorable cycle as it closes this chapter of our Camp COMCO Mentorship Program. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this globally recognized and industry-hailed communication training and education initiative.”

The Camp COMCO Mentorship Program continues to champion its mission: to develop a new generation of passionate, purpose-driven storytellers who are ready to thrive and lead in the ever-evolving world of communications.
