Camp COMCO Cycle 22 Apprentices and their House Stewards with COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises Interregional President and Group Chief Executive and Head of Global & Strategic Communications / Partner and Co-Founder Mr. Ferdinand Bondoy

The globally recognized Camp COMCO Mentorship Program by COMCO Mundo recently celebrated the successful graduation of its Cycle 22 apprentices after months of intensive, hands-on training.

Organized by the COMCO School of Communications, the communication training, professional development and continuing education arm of COMCO Mundo Mundo League of Enterprises, the Camp COMCO Mentorship Program is an intensive and comprehensive talent incubation initiative, apprenticeship program, and industry-academe linkage course. Recognized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) with a Global Gold Quill for Communication Training in Education, the program is designed to shape fresh graduates and students in marketing, communications, and multimedia arts into trailblazing industry-ready professionals.

Throughout the program, apprentices underwent a three-phase curriculum: Skills Calibration, Strategic Communications Immersion, and Specialization Elective. Each stage was led by COMCO Mundo’s pool of seasoned mentors, providing apprentices with real-world knowledge, hands-on experience, and exposure to COMCO Mundo’s signature brand of Meaningful Storytelling.

The Cycle 22 graduates of Camp COMCO — Adriana David, Vince Maverick Rodriguez (House Flyingfox); Patricia Ysabel Villesis, Cedrick Dalvin Alolor (House Hawksbill); Ezra Denice Esteban, Justine Keith Olay, Petrona Bea Sevilla (House Whaleshark); and KC Medenilla, Selena Patricia Campañer (House Bearcat) — completed the program’s three-part curriculum under the guidance of their respective house stewards: Justin Harvey Llamosa, Chief of Staff to the Interregional President & Group CEO and Associate Director for Executive Initiatives & Strategic Communications / Partner of COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises, for House Bearcat; AC Recio, Associate Director for Digital, Content, & Emerging Platforms and Deputy Business Administrator / Partner for SEA Wave & Spice Storytelling Studio of COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises, for House Hawksbill; Queenie Resmundo-Orbista, Senior Manager for New PR & Smart Social / Communications and Deputy Business Administrator / Partner of COMCO and COMCO Southeast Asia – Pilipinas, for House Flyingfox; and Janela Bufi, Senior Manager for Digital PR & Communications and Deputy Business Administrator of TARO AOX Inc. – A COMCO Mundo Company, for House Whaleshark.

The apprentices collaborated on live projects and received close mentorship from the leadership and teams of COMCO Mundo’s group of companies: COMCO Mundo’s group of companies: COMCO Southeast Asia – Pilipinas, the flagship PR agency; TARO AOX Inc., the digital and integrated communications agency; SEA Wave Magazine, COMCO Mundo’s Southeast Asian digital lifestyle publication; and Sundaica Shared Services and Enterprise Community, COMCO Mundo’s shared services arm.

Camp COMCO Cycle 22 culminated with the House Wars, where the four houses put their best strategies forward in a pitch competition powered by Cycle 22 brand partner, Skechers. Each house prepared and presented their own brand pitch from bold ideas to strategic alignment but it was ultimately the team whose vision best matched Skechers’ brand direction that took the top spot. House Bearcat was hailed Grand Champion, followed by House Flyingfox as 1st Runner-up, House Hawksbill as 2nd Runner-up, and House Whaleshark as 3rd Runner-up. More than just a competition, House Wars offered apprentices a platform to apply their learning, work as a team, and present real solutions to real brand challenges, all while carrying the banner of their respective houses.

Going down memory lane, apprentice Petrona Bea Sevilla called the program a “transformative experience,” saying, “It’s more than just an internship — it gives us the tools and confidence to face the dynamic world of communications.” Fellow apprentice and COMCOwan KC Medenilla added, “Camp COMCO helped me find my voice and clarify my path. It was fun, eye-opening, and unforgettable.”

For Patricia Ysabel Villesis, what stood out most was the culture: “Every activity, big or small, helps you understand and appreciate how COMCO works—not just as a company, but as a community.”

During the closing ceremonies, COMCO Mundo Interregional President and Group Chief Executive / Director-in-Charge & Strategic Communications Partner and Co-Founder, Mr. Ferdinand L. Bondoy, shared an inspiring message:

“Camp COMCO was created to serve as a bridge between academic knowledge and real-world industry experience. We envisioned a program that not only teaches the fundamentals of communications but also immerses young talents in meaningful, hands-on projects and collaborative activities. By combining expert mentorship with creative exploration, we aim to equip apprentices with both the skills and confidence they need to succeed. Ultimately, Camp COMCO is about preparing the next generation of professionals who are ready to thrive, adapt, and make a real impact in the dynamic world of communications.”

With Cycle 22 completed, Camp COMCO Cycle 23 is now open for applications from students and fresh graduates across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and beyond. Camp COMCO accepts students and fresh graduates of Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Multimedia Arts, and related disciplines.
