Over the past decade, many people have asked me “How do you define your company culture?” As COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises is celebrating its 10th year with Decade de COMCO, I felt like it would be a good time to revisit this question and finally put into words what it means to be part of the COMCO Squadron.
Our company culture can be summed up by our team journey. It all started with the desire to be able to work again with my former team and rest of the amazing people I’ve worked with in the past. We wanted to run a company that’s different from the dog-eat-dog world standard set by many in the industry, to not waste talents to bad organizations, to give the amazing people I meet along the way the best work experience they will cherish as they grow in their craft, and to build the best team we possibly can.
That desire led to our amazing team journey and paved the way for us to create COMCO and to nurture the culture we embrace and enjoy right now. The goal to give the best experience for the team led to COMCO creating that best experience, doing our work differently, excellently and with integrity, growing the team in their craft and character, exploring with the team and celebrating life uniquely, finding and carrying each one’s calling benefiting those around us, ensuring the team is truly taken care of, and being able to contribute something to make society better, one initiative at a time.
The company thrives, grows, evolves, transcends, with the journey and growth of the team and each COMCOy in mind, heart and soul.
So every time you see us in our unique work setup, our growing list of groundbreaking and landmark projects, our industry metals from around the world, our award-winning mentorship program which most COMCOys have been part of, our comprehensive benefits, our local and international team travel opportunities, our group growth and international expansion, our simple but colorful office (with fun pantry!), our unconventional team activities, our work for the community, and even our overcoming of challenges—all of them were done for the team, to give them the best experience in their craft, which all translate to the fulfillment of each one’s life’s work or the best work of our lives.
As we continue to actualize our master plan for our 10th year and beyond, we would like to thank everyone for sharing this journey with us. Happy 10th anniversary, and happy Decada de COMCO!
